Housing Focused Team Member
Homefull is seeking creative and energetic candidates who can work within a housing-focused team serving people who are at risk of becoming homeless, those currently homeless and those who were previously homeless. Will help clients to achieve residential stability and community re-integration using CTI, an Evidence Based Case Management Model utilizing mobile technology and web based case management software. Organizational skills, attention to detail, knowledge of the Dayton community and resources as well as own transportation are a must. Micro-Farm Field Operations Lead
Homefull is seeking a full-time Field Operations Lead responsible for the oversight of daily operations at our 5-acre micro-farm including direct manual labor and adherence to watering, fertilization, composting, pest control and harvesting schedules as well as supervision of transitional client workers and volunteers.
- The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of farm experience or comparable landscaping experience, knowledge of chemical-free growing techniques is preferred.
- Experience supervising staff and/or volunteers and working with diverse communities is a plus.
- Familiarity with issues relating to local food, food access, and sustainable agriculture, and a genuine appreciation of the urban environment.
- Sensitivity to and awareness of conditions relating to homelessness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, natural resources, plant science, horticulture or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Position requires physical ability and good driving record.

AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America) -
Homefull is currently recruiting for one AmeriCorps VISTA position. This position is through the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Food Bank’s SHARECorps Program. Homefull’s VISTA will serve as a community engagement and education specialist. Our VISTA will coordinate advocacy and education efforts of Homefull and the larger community through presentations, public speaking, community service, special events, donation solicitation, and volunteer coordination. Our VISTA will be part of a team working to better communicate Homefull’s message and mission to the community and to increase donor and volunteer participation. Our VISTA will also help to promote the anti-hunger, anti-poverty aspects of Homefull’s micro-farm. Our VISTA will take primary responsibility for volunteer recruitment, orientation, training and supervision; community engagement and service opportunities; donation generation, community education presentations and involvement. Our VISTA will work closely with Homefull’s administrative team, our Program Managers, partners and community members.
